View and Re-dispatch ABA file
This section covers viewing and re-dispatching any past ABA files.
An ABA file is created during the Trial Liability when clients are setup to receive their refunds electronically. This section only covers viewing past ABA files, or rebuilding one based on new data. For example, should a trust liability be run and then corrections made, you can rebuild the ABA file using the consolidate ABA file option.
Accounting > Trust > Historical > View ABA file
Here you can view Australian Banking Association files previously generated for electronic funds transfer.
Nominate the date the refunds were remitted on in the field labeled “Refund Date”, then select the file you wish to view from the list.
Click “Okay” on the Action Bar to view the ABA file. The ABA file will appear as a popup in an Internet Explorer window.
INFORMATION: When trust refunds and transfers are done that include clients with a refund method of electronic funds transfer, the ABA file created at the time is also stored on the DebtCol server.
Accounting > Trust > Historical > Consolidate ABA file
Where an ABA file has failed because of invalid bank account details, or in the event a trust statement has been reversed or any other corrections made that would cause the data in the ABA file to change, use the consolidate ABA file to re-create it with updated data.
Nominate the date the refunds were remitted on in the field labeled “Refund Date”, then click “Run”.
